Ramones adalah album debut dari band punk rock Amerika, the Ramones, dirilis Sire Records pada 23 April 1976. Proses rekaman album tersebut dimulai Januari 1976, hanya memakan 7 hari proses rekam dan dengan biaya $6,400 untuk pembuatan album tersebut. Album Ramones tersebut menggunakan teknik output-suara yang sama seperti The Beatles dan dikembangkan lagi dengan metode dari Craig Leon.

Cover album tersebut difoto oleh Roberta Bayley dari majalah Punk, dengan empat personil Ramones yang bersandar di tembok yang ada di New York. Setelah dirilis 2 lagu dari Ramones dipromosikan ke chart lagu, namun gagal bersaing. Ramones juga mulai tur untuk membantu penjualan albumnya, tur tersebut kebanyakan dilaksanakan di Amerika, tetapi ada 2 tur yang akan diselenggarakan di tanah Inggris.

Kekerasan, penggunaan narkoba, humor, dan nazisme banyak ditemukan dilirik album ini. Album ini dibuka dengan lagu “Blitzkrieg Bop”, menjadi lagu Ramones yang paling dikenal. Kebanyakan lagu di album ini berdurasi singkat; sekitaran 2 setengah menit, “I Don’t Wanna Go Down to the Basement” adalah lagu dengan durasi terpanjang di album ini. Ramones juga mengcover lagu dari Chris Montez yang berjudul “Let’s Dance”.

Banyak yang berpendapat album ini adalah salah satu album yang berpengaruh di skena musik rock, juga dapat banyak penghargaan, salah satunya adalah diposisi atas “50 Most Essential Punk Records” dari majalah Spin. Ramones juga menginspirasi banyak band termasuk, Sex Pistols, the Buzzcocks, dan the Clash. Terlepas dari gesekan antara sekna punk rock di Amerika dan di Inggris, album ini tetap punya pengaruh besar di genre musik rock, grunge, dan heavy metal.

Ramones is the debut album from the American punk rock band, the Ramones, was released on Sire Records on April 23, 1976. The recording process of the album begins January 1976, only takes up 7 days and record the process and costs $6.400 for the making of the album. The Ramones album using the same voice-output like The Beatles and developed again with the method of Craig Leon.

The album cover was photographed by Roberta Bayley of Punk magazine, with four personel Ramones leans on the wall that exists in New York. After released 2 songs from the Ramones was promoted to the song chart, but failed to compete. The Ramones also started a tour to help sales of his albums, a tour are most based in America, but there are 2 tour to be held in United Kingdom land.

Violence, drug use, humor, and Nazism found a revival album. The album opens with the song "Blitzkrieg Bop", became the most recognizable Ramones songs. Most of the songs on this album were short; around 2 and a half minutes, "I Don't Wanna Go Down to the Basement" is the song with the longest duration in this album. The Ramones also covered songs from Chris Montez, entitled "Let's Dance".

Many argue this album is one of the most influential albums in rock music scene can also be many awards, one of which is placed over the "50 Most Essential Punk Records" of Spin magazine.
